Nature's own fireworks. Northern lights originate
from our sun. During large explosions and
flares, huge quantities of solar particles are
thrown out of the sun and into deep space.
These plasma clouds travel through space with
speeds varying from 300 to 1000 kilometers per
second. But even with such speeds (over a million kilometer
per hour), it takes these plasma clouds two to
three days to reach our planet. When they are
closing in on Earth, they are captured by
Earth's magnetic field (the magnetosphere) and
guided towards Earth's two magnetic poles; the
geomagnetic south pole and the geomagnetic
north pole. Northern lights occur as a result
of solar particles colliding with the gases in
earth's atmosphere. On their way down towards the geomagnetic poles,
the solar particles are stopped by Earth's
atmosphere, which acts as an effective shield
against these deadly particles. When the solar particles are stopped by the
atmosphere, they collide with the atmospheric
gases present, and the collision energy between
the solar particle and the gas molecule is
emitted as a photon - a light particle. And
when you have many such collisions, you have an
aurora - lights that may seem to move across
the sky. In order for an observer to actually see the aurora
with the naked eye, about a 100 million photons
are required.

I’ve been very busy these past few days, and come to think of it this entry is about moks and I don’t even have the time to set aside to write my experience regarding him… Anyway, you see I was very happy when I’ve receive a text message from him regarding how he will never find a girl like me and that I’m easy to love but hard to forget. =) I felt really good about what he told me, then his next message states that he wants us to be just friends and the reason why his not contacting me these past few weeks is that he feels guilty. I had a feeling that this is coming after so many weeks of not receiving any news from him. True that I was disappointed but what can I do that’s his decision, I’m kinda expecting it already, I’m just waiting for it to happen then it came, I felt nothing. I’ve realized that I’m in love with the idea of me and him but in reality that will not happen because I know that something that I’ve let go long time before will be mine again ever. And I’ve accepted it I just want to hear it, have an assurance that we’re just going to be friends, because what I have with him before I left the Philippines is like an illusion, a mere twist of faith that only wants to teach us a lesson that love is something to be treasure while you have and let go when it decides to leave.

I’ve recently met a guy grabe… he is nice and generous…but too generous for me because we just met and he’s offering me to stay in his flat, right at that moment he is giving me the key, He said that no one is living there and he just want somebody to take care of the flat! Yeah right as if! True that I’m looking for a place to stay in, but I’m not that desperate to accept his offer. I don’t know his intensions as well as his character to accept what he is asking me to do. Granted that he’s intension is good and other malice is involve still it is not right for me to just move in that flat and take advantage of his generosity. It’s not nice to look at and it is not proper.

Lately I’ve been really thinking about my situation in my friend’s house. I’m not happy and never have been since I arrived here in Dubai. I’m looking for something that I have back at home which is my freedom. All I see day in and day out are double faced people who say nice things in front of you then another thing behind your back. I just don’t know when they are going to stab me or something. Sometimes I just want burst out and cry it all out, so that what I’m feeling at this moment will be wash away, but the problem is I don’t have a private place to release my sentiments, writing all my fears, hurts and irritation used to be my best outlet but now I think I should find another alternative because now there is something left-out that should be released. It’s really hard…I fell suffocated and suppressed at the same time. I really want my freedom back; this is something that I’ve lost when I arrive here. The freedom to be myself, the freedom to do what I like at my pace and at my own time and the freedom from manipulative people that surrounds me now.
